Many years ago I had heard the old Sámi people that there is a "Forgetten lake" in Tundra, where the graylings eat gold and grow really large, even 3000grams! I thought that everything is just a story, ...
ReplyDelete... But I did not get the story out of my mind. I saw the dreams many time about the lake. Then I thought that I must leave the lake in the next Autum when I have some holiday. So, ...
8 September 2010. I was here in "Forgetten lake". The evening was fine. Warm weather +15C. The most beautiful Autum colors shine and no any wind. The sun sets behind the hills and water butterflies rising up, ...
Then I noticed that really huge grayling rise to the surface right on the beachfront. That was the moment for the gray Europa 12 dry! On the leader and out! ....wait...wait.. and PAM!!! My dream was realized even though it is not even figured out! Really really FAT Grayling 2120grams and 58cm it was in my hands!
The date was perfect for great Northern Lights which rising up the sky after the sun set! I cried, I was so happy! Forgetten lake is true!
Some information about the forgetten lake: The lake is located in the high fell range. The elevation is over 500 meters above sea level. The lake location is far away from any settlement, so it is a genuine wilderness lake. Distance to the nearest road is about 40 km. This is the main reason why there has not been fishermans in the lake, and, consequently, the grayling have been able to attain trophy size.
Look all trophy size graylings in our web sites. Graylings 2120g, 2100g, 1960g, 1930g etc.... graylingland.com
